ELLIS COMING INTO HIS OWN -- QUICKLY: Monta Ellis is averaging 18.7 points and 4.0 assists in 32.2 minutes of action this season, while shooting 51.7% (78-151 FG) from the field...He has started each of the last six games and is averaging 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 35.7 minutes in those contests, while shooting 52.1% (49-94 FG) from the field...He scored 31 points in back-to-back games vs. Phoenix (11/20) and vs. Seattle (11/18)...Tied career-high 31 points and seven assists in season-high 44 minutes vs. Phoenix (11/20), filling in at point guard for injured Baron Davis...Recorded career-high 31 points (12-19 FG, 1-4 3FG, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds and tied a career-high seven assists vs. Seattle (11/18).
MONTA LEADS ALL SOPHS IN SCORING: Monta Ellis currently leads all NBA sophomores in scoring…He is the only player in the top-10 amongst sophomores who was selected in the second round (#40 overall).
DUNLEAVY TO THE RESCUE: As the sixth man, Dunleavy is averaging 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.14 steals in 30.4 minutes of the bench (seven games)...Has reached souble-figure scoring in each of the last four games...Registered 13 points and a season-high nine rebounds vs. Seattle (11/18)...Recorded season-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds vs. Toronto (11/14)...Overall this season is averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.00 steal in 28.6 minutes.
BIEDRINS LEADS THE LEAGUE IN SHOOTING: Andris Biedrins is averaging 8.9 points on 73.2% FG (1st in NBA), 9.3 rebounds (19th in NBA) and 1.91 blocks (6th in NBA) in 26.9 minutes per game this season...As a starter this season, he is averaging 10.1 points (33-45 FG, 73.3 %), 11.1 rebounds and 2.38 blocks in 30.3 minutes (eight starts).
BARON LEADING THE WAY: Baron Davis sat out the last game vs. Phoenix with a strained right rib muscle...The guard is averaging 20.7 points (23rd in NBA), 3.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists (7th in NBA) and 2.10 steals (3rd in NBA) per game thus far in 2006-07...Has led the team in scoring and assists in six last seven games played and is averaging 24.3 points and 8.9 assists in those contests.
WARRIORS ON TARGET: As a team Golden State has shot 50-plus percent in its last three contests...It marks the first time since 2/1/00-2/4/00 that they have shot 50-plus percent in three consecutive games.
TURNING IT UP AFTER SLOW START: Golden State has won six of its last eight games after losing two of its first three contests to open the season...Golden State beat Seattle 107-95 on Saturday night (11/18) extending the team’s winning streak to five games, which is the longest stretch since a five-gamer last season from 11/25/05-12/2/05.
