Default Best NFL franchise history

My vote would go to...

Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears

Cleveland Brown(old)

New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys

Washington Redskins

Miami Dolphins

Pittsburgh Steelers

Super Bowl era, it's gonna be the Forty Niners. They're like 5-0 in the big game.

Cowboys have been to 8 Super Bowls. (I think 16 NFC championship games)

We now have the greatest stadium in the league.

We were a dynasty in the 90's

Best Cheerleaders.

known as America's Team

and look at how many former cowboys are now involved in the sports media.

Steelers come in 2nd place.

Because covering sports on ESPN and not being able to speak is a good thing right?

Got to be the 49ers, perfect in Superbowl games. Did their business without all the attention that Dallas got. And when the Saints defense was amazing in the early 90s, they were the one team that always kept us from the playoffs or a division title.

Probably the Steelers

they have done it in multiple eras a few times with multiple teams

maybe the Cowboys.. they have multiple era championships

49ers looked the most dominant to me during their period of winning...

I guess I say the Steelers

It's the Packers. Any other answer is wrong.

It is probably the Steelers. Tough to beat their consistency over the last four decades.... Except for the 80s, during which they were below average.

However, it should be of note that the Steelers won absolutely nothing before 1972. People may scoff at that and say 'who cares,' but the franchise came into existence in 1933 (they were the Pittsburgh Pirates in their first six years).

From 1933 to 1972, they were above .500 a handful of times and they finished the season in the cellar almost every season.

That was four decades of horribleness. So, they've had three decades of being consistently one of the best franchises in the league (excluding the 80s) and four decades of being one of the worst.

I would probably still put them at the top, but I think it is a lot closer than many may think and other franchises have a legitimate argument.

Leave it to a Browns fan to nitpick.

Just messin with ya but it's blindingly obvious that the Steelers are the best franchise in history in my humble opinion.

it depends on what "best" means...

success wise = Steelers

tradition wise = Packers (I guess)

all-around wise = Dallas...

if Dallas were to win the SB this year they should get the "best" title regardless of what "best" means...
