Default Patrick Crayton traded to Chargers - what does this mean for VJax?

http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl...=ESPNHeadlines

Quote:
Crayton confirmed to ESPN that he has been traded, but details of the trade are still being formalized. A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the Cowboys will receive a seventh-round pick.

7th round pick? that's all?

Well... I think this saves us a few dollars because I do remember Crayton signing a decent contract a few years ago.

Ogletree and Hurd will be good back ups.

So are the Chargers telling VJax to go to hell?

I think he wants to be the highest paid WR in the NFL...(I think, could be wrong)

someone on PSD talked about the idea of Vincent coming to Dallas...but I am not sure if I would want him if he is asking for crazy stupid ass cash...

on a somewhat related note, it looks like Revis sitting out the year is a reality...

that is just WOW...

the Jets are telling him tht they will be fine without him...just sit

maybe the Chargers are saying the same to Jackson...

and yeah a 7th rounder for Crayton is a joke...that is pretty much just like "Dallas releases Patrick Crayton"

we are really deep at WR but he is worth a 5th or maybe a 4th...Crayton was good stuff...he will never be an elite obviously, but he is a very playable WR...

and he was Romo's favorite target too. Listening to GAC yesterday, they said that Jerry Jones & Wade Phillips didn't like Crayton personally so that's why they got rid of him for so cheap.

And if the Bucs can get a 7th round pick for Byron Leftwich and a 7th round pick for Luke McCown, then surely Crayton is worth more lol. Tampa traded a 6th round pick for Reggie Brown, and Crayton is much better than him. Chargers got a huge steal.

Im happy for Crayton. Dude is a stand-up guy and teammate and good for him for getting the chance to have a larger role in SD's offense.

Nothing against Crayton, but nobody should give more than a 7th for a 31 year old slot receiver on the last year of his deal.

No way Crayton is worth a 5th rounder if that's what Santonio Holmes went for. I know they are two different situations but still, be realistic lol.

this trade sucks. I hope there is something else coming down the pipeline b/c the Cows WRs have all had injury issues in recent years. Crayton had great hands and was usually the guy Romo went to if Witten was covered and they really needed a first down. As of now it looks like a penny pinching trade at best.
