Default Stephen A Smith Thread

Yup , I gave him his own thread.

Don't cuss me for it.

I wanted to do this last week when his show first came on, but didn't get around to it.

Stephen A is straight up in my opinion.

Some believe he doesn't have connects in the biz, but I think he does.

Some of his latest quotes from his show.......

"Whatever the Nuggets say they want for Melo, you give it to them".

"Melo is pissed that the Knicks are dragging their feet with this".

"If the Knicks don't get Melo by the trade deadline, I am personally holding Knicks management accountable, on my show that day".

"The only way i can see the Knicks holding on to Gallinari is.....if they say they that he is the next Dirk".

"There is no way Chris Paul comes, unless you get Melo".

"Why are the Knicks so concerned with holding on to role players? Don't they know who Melo is?"

Just a few.......

I agree with some of it.

Nice thread and thank you for starting it. Alot of common sense by Smith. I think that a majority of NYK fans agree that the Knicks need to be very understanding that Melo is not just some player. He is top 5 in the NBA. Role players will come and go but the superstars and the legacy they leave behind, like Ewing, are priceless for any NBA team. I think Dolan reaching out the way he did was a great sign. Melo wants to play in a NYK jersey and the fans want him.

He's totally right. They need to really be blamed if we don't get Carmelo.

I don't know why the media is all of a sudden trying to add a rush element to this. Most trades happen around the allstar breaks. Its not like another team appeared in the picture. Its not like Mello said he will sign anywhere. Its not like the 24 second clock is going to go off before the weekend. Somebody got a plane to catch? How are they going have us rush CP3 over if we have no assetts?

I have no idea of who this guy is, but hey, I will hold the Knicks accountable if we don't have Melo by this summer.

He said the reason Walsh turned down this deal down is because D'Antoni worships the ground Gallinari walks on.

More reason for me to say: FIRE D'ANTONI!!!!

Well win-win for the Gallo haters. If he gets traded, they'll be . If he doesn't get traded, they'll say they were right and D'Antoni plays favorites. But for me as long as Chandler's finally gone, I'm happy. If Felton is included in the deal too, that's a big bonus.

Stephen A Smith is such an idiot. Not that I necessarily disagree with anything he's saying...too strongly.

I certainly hope they don't give up Gallo and Fields though.
