Educated guess - big men available? Not only specific to Raptors

So I keep reading the rumors and hearing the noise. Usually big men are at a serious premium. Just a few years ago a legit big man like Ben Gordo commanded serious dollars.

Whether its the cap / the CBA / the injuries / or perhaps the changing of the game to an outside in / zone d sort of tempo there really is more than above average rumors and potential available. Maybe a combo of above.

My estimate would be there are legit 4-5 big men in serious discussions to be moved. I wouldnt mind seeing the Raptors grab one as opposed to drafting one of the two highly rated C's (the Lithuanian and the Turk). Big men take time to develope so a proven C even with some flaws is something you can coach around.

Kaman - Clippers - available ? I guess yes

Nene - Nuggets - available ? I guess yes but depends on Melo move

Thabeet - Griz - available ? yes!

Oden - Blazers - available ? With LaMarcus' performance I say yes.

Pryzbilla - Blazers - available? Yes as per above if he wants to move.

Bynum - Lakers - available ? I guess no.

Curry - Knicks - available ? Yes!

Ming - Rockets - available? Yes I am pretty sure Rockets need to move his deal.

Cousin's - Kings - available? Maybe. I will hedge on this one to say it will take a lot.

Bargnani - Raptors - available? Maybe. I will hedge on this one and say it would take a lot.



None of these guys are the calibre of our Orlando superstar but there is some serious talent among this bunch (and some flaws).

Yao's contract is an expirer so there is no need for the Rockets to move him.

The question is will they ; I would say there is at least a 50 50 chance on it.

The Truth and Rumors website suggests the Golden State Warriors are taking serious looks at Ming and Oden ; I wonder if the Raptors are doing the same?
