The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that they have signed guard Antonio Daniels of the NBA Development League’s Texas Legends. Daniels is the 21st Call-Up of the 2010-11 D-League season.
Daniels (6-4, 205), has played 12 NBA seasons for Vancouver, San Antonio, Portland, Seattle, Washington and New Orleans. His last NBA season was with the Hornets in 2008-09.
Solid signing. Not a game changer by any means, but a great veteran player with a little left in the tank to contribute a few minutes a game in the playoffs.
louis williams is injured ATM. i think it's for insurance, just incase someone gets injured in the playoffs. Sad to say, but evan turner should be ashamed, this move wouldn't be neccessary if turner was productive.

I know, but if he was productive enough, they wouldn't need to get daniels. Evan is a good Ball handler.
Evan Turner cant run an offense tho. Better used as a backup to Iggy and Meeks. Daniels probably wont even see time. The player who is factoring in Evan Turners time is Andreas Nocioni. Trust me, even if Evan was solid productively and Lou got hurt? They would add another body.
Away from the signing, that's pretty cool for a 36 year old NBA vet to be playing in the D-league fighting for a chance to make a team again. Most would have just retired.

He'll provide some good leadership. One thing I miss about him is his athleticism. In his younger days, he could jump out of the gym and this is a guy that's 6'3"-6'4" if he's lucky.
