Default T-Wolves Daily (Dec. 15) - team visits Bucks Saturday

Saturday's Game
Wolves @ Bucks
Bradley Center -- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Wolves meet up with their border rivals from the Eastern Conference, the Bucks, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. It's the first of two contests between the teams this year; the next coming on Friday, Dec. 22 at Target Center. Historically, the Timberwolves have played the Bucks almost as well as anyone in the NBA. Entering the 2006-07 season, Minnesota's .636 winning percentage against Milwaukee, was one of the top three for Bucks opponents and the Wolves are one of just a few teams to have a winning record against the Bucks. Prior to Feb. 1, 2005, the Wolves didn't lose in Milwaukee in nearly 10 years.

Minnesota will come into the game looking to continue their winning ways as they've emerged victorious in four of their last five contests and are now just two games behind Denver for second place in the Northwest Division. Milwaukee has gone 4-4 in December and will face the Bulls in Chicago on Friday night before returning to Milwaukee for the game on Saturday.

Saturday's Broadcast
Catch Saturday's game against the Bucks on KSTC-TV, Channel 45, and the radio home of the Wolves, BOB 106 (106.1 FM).

A Star Among Stars
Kevin Garnett is making a strong bid for his 10th consecutive All-Star Game appearance as he leads all Western Conference forwards with 453,536 votes. These numbers are from the first returns on the All-Star ballots, so Wolves fans still have work to do to ensure that KG will represent Minnesota in the 2007 All-Star Game.

Put Your Hands Together for Mr. Randy Foye
The Timberwolves Randy Foye set a new career-high in assists on Dec. 13 in San Antonio. The rookie out of Villanova handed out seven dimes in 19 minutes of play against the Spurs. His previous high of six assists was set on Nov. 18 against the Hornets. Foye also scored 15 points (two off his career-best) on 6-9 field goals.

Wolves center, Mark Blount, established a season-best in points against San Antonio with 19. He shot 61.5 percent (8-13) from the floor, snagged eight rebounds, blocked a shot and had two steals.

Wednesday's Recap
San Antonio 95, Minnesota 82
The Timberwolves four-game winning streak was snapped last night by the San Antonio Spurs, 95-82, at the AT&T Center. The Wolves jumped out to a fast start, scoring 56 points on 60.5% shooting from the field in the first half. Kevin Garnett and Mark Blount tallied 17 points and 14 points, respectively, to give Minnesota an 8-point lead at intermission. However, San Antonio held the Wolves to a season-low 26 points in the second half, and forced 17 turnovers (23 total) during the final two quarters. Garnett (19 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists), Blount (19 points, 8 rebounds) and Randy Foye (15 points, 7 assists) finished in double figures for Minnesota. Tim Duncan's 24 points and Tony Parker's 23 points topped the Spurs. The Spurs have downed the Wolves in nine of the last 11 contests overall. The two teams meet two more times in 2006-07, with both appearances at Target Center.
