He wants out of the Clippers, and we all know the Jazz wanted him at one point. He would be our answer at the 2 spot. We could give the Clips Gordan Giricek, Jarron Collins, and throw in a draft pick to sweeten the deal. It would work. The ESPN trade machine says so.
That trade would only work with the stupid Clippers of old and even then it's a huge stretch. The Jazz have their guys anyway, I'd rather they stay pat. If they don't win it this year and everyone stays healthy, think of how much better will they'll be next year.
Ya know, WW I'm not really on the AK train but that trade is crap. Neither team would even entertain that. If the Clipps won't give up Livingston for AI, why would they do it for AK? They already have their defensive 3 in Ross, We already have our future(and current) pg, and Kaman is overpaid. In short, HELL NO.
You could give Brewer and a first rounder for Maggette.
I'd definitely do that, but we'd have to throw in more cuz Maggette's salary is 7 mill. I still think Giricek and Collins and another throw-in is a fair trade. Plus, I'd like to see Brewer stick around and fulfill his potential - we already know what giricek and collins are capable of. It looks like artest for maggette may go down soon tho. If the Clips wanna take a chance on artest disrupting their team, fine by me...
Maggette is much more athletic not to mention stronger than Brewer.
Just wait. Brew's only been in the League 30 games. Many scouts draft boards had him ranked as the most athletic of his draft class. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big ACC fan(Duke & NC State mainly), but Maggs is a bit overrated, a little to fragile, and prolly wouldn't buy into Sloan's system(not to mention the no headband rule). Plus, if the Jazz do make a move at the 2 spot it, better be for a 3pt shooter(which Corey is not)...
