CHICAGO— A sportscaster for NBC 5 Chicago was found dead in a hotel room this morning in Atlanta.

Daryl Hawks was covering the NBA playoff game between the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks, in Atlanta.
Physical Conditions His body was discovered after he did not appear for the Bulls' morning shootaround.

NBC 5's Web site stated that Hawks joined the station in 2008, and was 38-years-old.

Hawks was married with two children.

In 2002, NBC 5 sports reporter Darrian Chapman died of a heart condition at the age of 37.
