Default Josh Smith out a month

the bad news keeps coming for the Hawks. Josh Smith has to have hernia surgery. He had been playing so well this month, at least until their game last night where he obviously wasn't himself. Up until then his averages for the month were;

13 pts on 50% shooting
8.6 rebounds
3.9 assists
2.6 blocks
1.6 steals

Bummer

hernia is ouch! Nothing like the swollen nut syndrome to take a grown man down.

This sucks.

Too many injuries this season.

The Hawks really could use some help up front.

Maybe we will make a trade or sign a free agent like Keith Van Horn.

Good for the suns. That pick gets better for them by each game.

Either this past week has been the most devastating pre-christmas week in the history of the NBA, or losing teams are already preparing for the Oden sweepstakes...

yeah Yeah yeah... Every year the Hawk fans make the same excuses...

-Lots of hurt players
-Young Team
-Bad head coach

Hurt players isn't the reason the Atlanta Hawks have no major accomplishments as a franchise in it's history in Atlanta.

The Hawks are 5-17 after the 4-1 start. Playoffs?

Joe Johnson was another b@stard Hawks mistake. Now they'll lose their first round pick. For What? An unathletic SG that doesn;t take the ball to the basket and can't make his teammates better? Just another in the long line of busts on the Hawks roster.

Joe Johnson doesn't have to worry about getting hurt because he rarely has contact with any other players.

I wouldn't have done the Johnson trade, but I have to admit that if he plays the whole season at his current level he'll have been worth the deal. Diaw has fallen off this season.
