Default Post Interesting Stats

The 49ers, at 5-1, have the 26th overall offense and 24th overall defense.

The top 5 tacklers in the league are: Pat Angerer, Kavell Connor, George Wilson, Desmond Bishop, Navorro Bowman

^ How many of those guys can you name the team they play for? Over/Under is at 3.

Jared Allen has 9.5 sacks. The rest of the team has 7.5.

Old man Steve Smith is 2nd in the league in YPC (21.1) and 1st of anyone with 15+ catches on the year.

The Eagles, at 3-4, have a +27 point differential. The Bucs, at 4-3, have a -38 point differential.

The top 3 WR in receiving yards last season (Lloyd, Roddy, Wayne) aren't even top 15 this year.

McCoy has 28+ carries in back to back games, the first time for a RB in Andy Reid's tenure.

Cam Newton has a 87.1 QB rating, the highest for a rookie since Matt Ryan's 87.7 in '08.

Of the top 10 leaders in "yards after catch", 7 are running backs.

Is Navvaro Bowman any good? He looked good vs Birds. But I havent watched him much since college. I was a fan of his in college and hoped Eagles could scoop him. But we dont care about LBs.

Anyone know what the story on this guy is?

Is he running with less authority? Is it the line? Is it their offensive gameplan?

I'll get a chance to see him in action next Sunday vs. the Bengals, but other than that, I don't really get a chance to see him, and am curious as to his rapid dropoff.

all he does is pick up tackles. he's good for a solid 7-9 tackles a game and that's about it. doesn't really force any turnovers or rack up pass defenses.
