Default Why doesn't Chicago work out a deal with Houston?

So the Rockets were willing to give up Scola and Martin and just get Gasol in return. What if Chicago offered Boozer & a draft pick for them?

Bulls:

C: Noah
PF: Scola
SF: Deng
SG: Martin
PG: Rose

The idea that Houston had, wasn't so much to get rid of Scola. They are really unsettled at their 5 spot, and picking up Gasol would lessen the blow if they don't get the desired performance from whatever Center they settle on.

For us, they wouldn't trade Scola. They like Scola. Boozer doesn't fit their needs, Scola doesn't fit ours. I like Scola too, but he would basically be fighting with Deng's comfort zones.

Martin is great, I would love to add him. He would fit well if he can stay healthy.

Then throw in Asik. I mean, IMO, that lineup has the potential to win a championship.

Only if we have some option to turn injuries off.

Asik is worth a hell of a lot more than what we are giving him. If he doesn't have a bad injury, his market value will be around 7-8million. That makes him a GREAT trade chip. Just wait until all of these immature and itchy trigger teams max out their cap options, guys like Asik will be worth a LOT more.

Buy low, sell high.
