Now our roster looks like this.
Bayless, Calderon,
Derozen, Barbosa
J.Johnson, Kleiza
Ed Davis Amir
Bargs Alabi Magloire
It's exactly what BC should do if they are in rebuild mode. Role with these guys. Not sure when if Kleiza will be fully healthy, but all these guys are young, so let them play and develop and see what you have for the future. A realistic goal might be 25 wins, get a top 5 draft pick and bring in 2 lottery guys next year. I am sure that BC will want to see if Val and Bargs can be an effective front court. If they can and Ed Davis continues to improve, they have a pretty solid 4-5. If they get lucky in the lottery maybe they can get a franchise point guard, or a franchise small forward. It all depends on how the young guys show this year.
I seen Jamaal, and immediately thought we agreed to sign Crawford. Glad to see Its Magloire... cheaper, keeps the tank rolling.. and hopefully means we are done "looking" for a FA center.

After my initial feelings of anger and confusion over this signing, I now see it like you.
It's Jamaal Magloire... so what?
He won't play, and if he does get a few minutes here and there, he'll suck anyway. Keep the tank alive.
But add to it the fact that he's been in the league about 10 years now, he has had some success early in his career, and played with a lot of great players. He might be really able to help mentor guys like Ed Davis, Amir Johnson, Jonas Valanciunas and even Andrea Bargnani.
He can't produce much on the court, but he knows the game and hopefully he'll be able to help these young players grow.

Exactly, at worse he will get the minutes Alabi was getting.. and honestly he can't do any worse.
Oh and I have my suspicions that this might be his last season, and he just wants to retire on a Canadian team.
