Default '07-'08 Patriots vs '11-'12 Packers. Who wins?

Tough call. Similar teams.

If NE had Gronk and Hernandez on that team, I'd have to go with NE.

But as of now, I would take Green Bay in that game.

No defense to write home about on either team, neither team has a useful running game. It's basically a shootout in the air.

You've got:

Moss
Welker
Stallworth
Watson
Gaffney

against

Jennings
Nelson
Finley
Driver
Jones

Interestingly, both teams beat the Giants 38-35 in the regular season.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if the same outcome happenes, but then again the Giants could fail and miss the playoffs, this team is wishy-washy as you could get.

Giant's defense in 2007 >>>>> Giant's defense now. But Jason Piere Paul is better than anyone on that 2007 team. Tuck included.

Interesting little fact there. Good point.

Who knows who would win, but it would probably the highest rated football game ever.

Tough, I'd lean GB because of the Randy Moss factor. Title games he turns into a putty cat.

I hope that game would rival the GB vs N.O Week 1 matchup. That was a gun show altho GB went into conservative mode letting N.O back in it.

Patriots if they're allowed to spy on the Packers.

Packers, easily, if the Patriots can't cheat.

Patriots team was way better. They only lost to the Giants because Brady played the game with a broken right foot and because they got beat by a helmet making a 1 in a 1,000,000 catch.

This Packers team is nothing special. Every other year there is a team as good or better. It's just all nonsense hype from BSPN, as usual.

The difference between this year's Packers and that year's Patriots are, while the Packers give up a lot of yards and sometimes a lot of points, they lead the entire league in getting interceptions, and from time to time they do rush the passer extremely well.

So I'd give the defensive edge to GB.

Pats O-line was better, Brady had more time in the pocket so I'd say those differences are a wash.

True daat.

But I was just comparing defenses. Give me this year's Packers D over that Patriots' D.
