Question Best area to stay..

.. if you visit Boston?

So finally, my plans of visiting Boston seems to come into fruitation. We are booking the flight tomorrow and now im looking over the hotels.

Any area you would recommend to live in? It does not have to be city centre if the communications are good. Close to TD would be kinda neat I guess.

Thanks!

If you want to be close to the Garden you go to the North End, but you better bring a lot of money.

If you live within 2-3 miles of Boston in any direction the prices for homes and rent is going to be astronomical. It depends on what you're looking for, apartment, house, in the city or not, etc.

Hotels in Boston tend to be pricey. I'd comparison shop online, deals can be found...

Yes, thanks! We are looking into that now, at a bufferzone of + 2-3km.

Just an hotel room will do nice, we thought of an apartment, but then we asked ourselves "Will we make use of the kitchen or will we eat out?" Eat out was the answer. I like to cook tho..

Yeah thats the way we are going to do book. There are some "stay for more then 3-4 nights discount" making deals worth looking into.

Check for cities outside if Boston.

I live literally over the Tobin Bridge outside of Boston. But all you got to do is take one bus into Boston and it drops you off about a minute from the Garden.

That was an idea, but we are only staying 5 nights so it feel worth to spend the extra $ for a more central location. It looks like we will live downtown, near the "boston historical park"(?). If that counts as downtown.
