What's the big cost? Lakers won all those 40+ Kobe games except for today's game because Fisher let CP3 have his way and the team got outrebounded.

Sure it would. If Kobe gets his usual career 57% TS while the team plays good defense, then Lakers can win the championship. The opposing team would score below 1 point per possession.
Remember that the Lakers are the best rebounding team in the league, especially offensive rebounding. Kobe shot terrible in Finals Game 7 but his teammates scored on Kobe's misses. Essentially the misses were like passes to his teammates in the post ( =easy buckets). In theory, Lakers can definitely win a championship with Kobe taking 30 shots per game.
