"It appears Fedor Emelianenko has gone from long shot to no shot for UFC 146's expected main-event vacancy.
M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan today announced Emelianenko will fight an unannounced opponent at a currently unspecified June 21 event.
However, sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that former WWE star and ex-Strikeforce fighter Bobby Lashley (7-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is under consideration for the Emelianenko (33-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) fight."

Fedor himself brought this on himself for having terrible management. They tried to get their way with the UFC and managing themselves around as he was top the Heavyweight in the world and that changed when he began to lose.
Fedor will beat Lashley anyway if this fight goes down. If the fight gets out of the first round, Lashley will gas and Fedor will finish him.
Poor Fedor. There's not much more else for him to do outside of the UFC. He's going to end up fighting James Thompson if he decides to continue fighting after this as there's not that many well known Heavyweights outside of the UFC currently.

well anything is possible in MMA but Lashley has literally nothing for Fedor, this is almost the same as Overeem vs Duffe. Lashley is just a big dude with muscles and based on his couple of fights that I have watched gasses in the first few rounds due to all the muscle.

if the fights in Russia who will watch this? Plus Fedor is hardly mainstream, only hardcore dudes still want to see him fight, mainstream MMA only know Fedor for his 3 straight loses. If I was Fedor I would do a simple 3 fight deal no cross promotion sh!t if he proves he still has it to compete in the UFC he will smash the first 3 guys, reconstruct his deal when he has more leverage then end his career on a high note with maybe a HW championship bout. I dont see what he gains from fighting a can in Lashley so Im sad as a Fedor fan that he goes through these fights

All right, Fedor won't be fighting Rolles Gracie, his next opponent is Pedro Rizzo. There's not many Heavyweight's Fedor can fight outside of the UFC and it's starting to really show although it's been obvious for a while, but now there's really no one else left for him to fight.

dana white is a grudge-holding hot head but fedor could still come back to zuffa if he really wanted to. it would probably require him ditching M1, but it could be done if he really wanted to. ball's in fedor's court as its always been.

Lashey is a nice guy on and off the ring. It sucks that Vince Mcmahon didn't give him a manager. He's not a good talker. Lashley sounds like a 12 yrs.old girl.
