Due to the success of The Witcher and The Witcher 2, CD Projekt RED has two internal development teams working on two AAA role-playing games. During its Summer Conference, the developer revealed one of them, and itís quite a departure from the high fantasy style of The Witcher, though it maintains other elements that helped CD Projekt REDís previous work stand out.
Set in a futuristic world, Cyberpunk is based on the 1988 Mike Pondsmith Cyberpunk pen and paper role-playing game system. Itís meant to be a realistic, violent and mature game just like The Witcher, and will feature a non-linear story where your decisions affect the outcome. Citing cyberpunk touchstones like William Gibsonís fiction and Blade Runner, CD Projekt RED wants this game to adhere to the archetypal cyberpunk style.
Unfortunately, not too many details yet. Or any useful media. But if the game can share the quality and finish of the witcher games, gamers will be in for a treat. im sure we'll see more at e3
and the developer of these games, CD Projekt RED, is definitely one of the better ones and should be applauded.
they offered free lifetime dlc updates for witcher 2 on pc. (although i dont think xbox 360 is getting that treatment lol)
