Default NFL Offers to Cut Jonathan Vilma's Suspension in Half

From 16 to 8 games.

link

What do you think Vilma should do? Accept the deal or go to court and try to get the whole suspension lifted?

That would be crazy on the basis that the NFL would have given in to the threat of a lawsuit. I didnt read up on this but if true thats a win for Vilma who should tak the 8gms instead of rolling the dice. If NFL didnt agree to this then good luck in court I guess. I dont think Vilma shjould fight to get it lifted entirely but then again he has a family to feed, he's old so he needs to be playing. Tough, for me I take the 8gms. Not sure if he has a strong enough case to get it lifted entirely.

its kinda hard to get back those prime years if you're a guy like Vilma. Its a hard choice for him.

if he was out of his prime, I'd refuse this and become a martyr if you can prove Goodell for his abuse of power and defamation.

However, he is in his prime and he should look for every chance to get out on the field to maximize his earning potential as a player. Your prime years in the NFL are very short on average.
