hmm, 1993... what was playing, then? couldn't have been even slightly big or you'd have been paid much earlier no matter what your relationship was to the flick. unless union or specific actors rights or something were held up, but then that could lead down an endless labyrinth as a relevant trivia question.
how about an obscure or semi-obscure movie that recently came out on DVD, possibly as a collection? maybe a horror film or a documentary...? something made in the 'east coast hollywood' rather than the traditional schlemiel.
It was part of a deferred payment plan. It was a way independent movies kept their budgets low. In theory when they sold the movie, then all the folks whose payments were deferred should have gotten paid. But that would have required the idiot producers not to spend like crazy on the soundtrack. So every few years, I get a check.
I am a fat redhead, but it's none of those movies. I was in one scene though.
It was a steadicam shot through a house during a party. To give you a level of the competence on this movie, we were on the other side of the house and they never told us they were beginning the next take. We didn't they had started up until we saw the camera. So I'm sure the camera caught us just standing there doing nothing and then all start "acting."
I was not there the day they forgot to put a stopper on the dolly tracks and ran the camera dolly in the Mercedes being used in the scene. A camera dolly is usually about 300 pounds of metal.
