Their connection came before the Knicks were any kind of contender.....but during the Ewing era of the 90s....MJ repeatedly shitted on Knicks...blocked them from advancing in playoffs and just wiped his ass with whoever happened to be starting at SG in a Knicks jersey

Don't think bulls knicks was a rivalry pre or post Jordan but as a sports fan......and a serious one....how is Spike allowed to skate on this?

because there are things more important than basketball believe it or not. spike lee was one of the only black indie filmmakers in the 90s and has done a lot for the film industry in that regard. i can't remember which movie, but one of his bigger projects he was lacking funding, which the studios wouldn't give him. he called up MJ (oprah and others) and flat out told it like it was ... needed money. MJ wrote a check on the spot.

Because of what you said there yourself. He is his personal friend. He has a relationship with him OFF THE COURT. What happens on the court is different.
You can root for a guy to be happy and have success every where else in life, and at the same time root for him to lose to your team in the game of basketball when your team plays them. It's pretty simple really.
If you have two favorite teams or players, when they play against each other you may root for one over the other. Big deal...you are still allowed to like both teams.
Cause at the end of the day, it's just a game. Holding out feuds is childish over and immature. No one should take sports that seriously.

Jay-Z tried to purchase an ownership share in the Knicks that was rebuffed by Jim Dolan, he then went on to the Nets. Prokhorov did the same thing actually, Dolan once again got involved and insisted that the Rangers were also part of the deal. The Nets will always be second fiddle
