Default Google Nexus 4...

Better than the Optimus G in my opinion.

All previous Nexus models have been crap, so I won't hold my breath on this one. Looks nice, but the Galaxy Nexus was hyped just the same and ended up being a dud.

Fail on Google's part, they made a top-notch device but decided to make it only 3G. Looks great, but not having a 4G radio is a mistake.

3 year old GPU
average camera
screen is easily scratched, so screen protector is almost required

Also Nexus devices do not sale a lot becuase of the lack of advertising. When the Nexus came out the Rezound had commercials. the RAZR had commercials, but the Galaxy Nexus? Almost nothing. Every phone like that will be a dud without advertising.

4G is overrated, I rather have some battery left than 4G..

My beef with this phone is the fact that it doesn't have a memory card slot, like seriously, time to get that shit done..

Whethery ou feel it's overrated or not, tons of people want it. There is tons of 4G coverage on Verizon and consumers in 4G markets will not usually buy a phone if it's only 4G. so it's not going to sale a lot I think.

Also if you want a slim phone with good battery life, you usually have to do do away with the microSD card slot. It's a non-removable batter with a gorilla glass 2 back and front.

I'm not sure why you feel it's overrated. My 4G speeds are literally like 10-15x faster.

HSPA+ is plenty fast for what you need to do on a phone. LTE isn't really necessary (though it is nice to have).

I am getting this phone.

not google's fault..blame verizon. they own the lte standard and won't let google use it w/o capitulating to verizon's demands (bloatware, locked bootloader, etc) which totally defeats the point of having a nexus.

As opposed to what? iOS? Not for me. TouchJizz? I know college kids in art school with a better sense of design than the jokes at Samsung. HTC Sense? Nah, their idea of UI is having a giant clock take up a quarter of the screen.

The Nexus has stock Android (the superior version of Android, BAR NONE) and timely updates. Enjoy flashing ROMS. I got better things to do.

Google wanted a world phone. Why would they put LTE in the phone when most countries dont have it? They could put in a pentaband LTE antenna like the Nokia 920 but then you wouldnt have a flagship phone coming under $400 which is killer.

Btw, unless you put in a RAZR Maxx-like battery in there, LTE will kill your battery.

I never felt any major difference while using 4G, the only major difference I felt was the battery life which got way worse. So a little bit faster while having worse batery time, no thank you.

I don't care if the phone is really slim, average works just fine for me. But a microSD card slot is a must for me, if I pay big money for a phone I don't want to be limited.

I have had plenty of phones, Galaxy Note, SGS III, HTC ONE X and now I use the iPhone 4S and I must say, having a microSD card slot like the SGS III and the Note is a big difference.
