Default Is there a more critic-proof actor than Sandler

Seriouslsy- Click opened up at 40mill even. His last releases ""Mr. Deeds," "Anger Management," "50 First Dates" and "The Longest Yard," all debuted from $37 million to $47 million." and none of which were reviewed any better than 2 stars.

The only thing that can kill a Sandler box office is a critic calling it "good".

Sounds about right.

Look at this...

Punch Drunk Love was one of his best performances (if not THE best) and is his highest rated movie by far. Yet, it made chicken feed in comparison to his others.

They should re-release Happy Gilmore. It'd probably make lots of money.

My bet is that it gets jumped, robbed, and assr.aped by Superman Returns. Have you seen the reviews on it? It's being pretty well-received, especially considering the choice to go with a no name actor as Superman.

Yeah, I forgot about Supes. Its a nobrainer that will be #1. Wonder how far Click will drop from last week's total because of it. Sometimes movies like that do well on the weekend of a big premiere because of sellouts with the big movies. People just go see whatever isn't sold out.

it's because he is so likeable as a person as well as an actor...He admits that he is not perfect unlike a lot of other actors and he has a real "one of my friends" type sensibility. Not to mention he is pretty damn funny *nothing beats Bilyl Madison and Happy Gilmore*

reading critic reviews to an Adam Sandler movie is pointless.. they always trash his comedies...

I saw one of his recent movies "Dont mess with the Zohan". It is easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I dont see how people think he's funny or how hes till making movies, hes terrible

Click was terrible. I thought it was mildly funny at first then when it tried to go full-out drama at the end I was almost laughing.
