Seriouslsy- Click opened up at 40mill even. His last releases ""Mr. Deeds," "Anger Management," "50 First Dates" and "The Longest Yard," all debuted from $37 million to $47 million." and none of which were reviewed any better than 2 stars.
The only thing that can kill a Sandler box office is a critic calling it "good".
Yeah, I heard Click was just an updated It's A wonderful Life and it still was #1 this week. The most telling stat will be this week's #s
My bet is that it gets jumped, robbed, and assr.aped by Superman Returns. Have you seen the reviews on it? It's being pretty well-received, especially considering the choice to go with a no name actor as Superman.
Yeah, I forgot about Supes. Its a nobrainer that will be #1. Wonder how far Click will drop from last week's total because of it. Sometimes movies like that do well on the weekend of a big premiere because of sellouts with the big movies. People just go see whatever isn't sold out.
it's because he is so likeable as a person as well as an actor...He admits that he is not perfect unlike a lot of other actors and he has a real "one of my friends" type sensibility. Not to mention he is pretty damn funny *nothing beats Bilyl Madison and Happy Gilmore*
