Also I suspect those bears are quite used to humans being around. If they are feeding and you are not threatening the food or the cubs, they probably have been conditioned to not react to humans.
However, if the bear was hungry it was be a different story.
Dude was just extremely ****ing lucky. Some bears are more docile, some are more angry.. just like people. He's super lucky that this bear was obviously well-fed and didn't see him as a threat. That bear would rip his ****ing head off.. especially with her cubs around. I've come across a couple bears with cubs on trails before.. the last thing you ****ing do is get CLOSER for photos
The worst thing about it is if he had been attacked the bear would most likely have been put down and it would have been this **** wads fault in the first place.
