Default Say what you want about Kobe, he was right about Dwight

Kobe speaking about everyone not having to like each other, needing a little edge on Dwight's game, etc. might have been a message delivered in his usual dickish style, but he was right. Dwight's a clown. He laughs off losses. he doesn't try as hard if he's not feeling wanted or liked. WTF is that?

Dwight should thank god and light a freaking candle every day he didn't get sent to Brooklyn because this season, this uneven effort in Brooklyn. He thinks he's unhappy now? The media here would have crucified him. The WORST thing in the world in NY is to be soft and to not play as hard as you can. The only thing worse is if after you do so grinning and laughing it off. It would have been hilariously ugly.

If Dwight leaves after this year so be it but he should take one thing from Kobe, it's that anger and selfishness that i will do what i need to win. I will not whine for touches, i will threaten people unless they throw me the ball. I will not be a passive aggresive women passing notes that i hate my teammates, i will tell them in no uncertain tones that i hate them because of X,Y,Z and bury the shit so we can move forward.

Kobe's right about Dwight. 100%. And if Dwight's smart, he'll take the lesson and become an angrier less sensitive player.

Howard being a clown is old news. Didn't need Kobe to tell me that. Howard's been all about smiles and showing off his muscles for years. And he totally played the Magic for fools (why did he re-sign again?). But I agree with Kobe, as a veteran and winner, keeping Howard in line. Somebody's got to do it.

Howard's stupid. His mission this year should be to absorb every ounce of intensity and knowledge from Kobe he could. Instead he went in there until recently (he looks better the last few games) fighting desperately to have to change NOTHING at all from what didn't work prior.

Kobe was right when he pegged that fool as a glorified Tyson Chandler.

When you grow up as entitled and gifted as Dwight while being hailed as a miracle baby by your own mother you think you are living in a solipsist dream. But reality is he's a limited big on offense and it's time he accepts it.

Nope.. it was kobes poor leadership that made Dwight the way he is. All Kobes fault since day one. Everyone that said it all along was right!

As great as Kobe is, he didn't give birth to Dwight

The team would have built around him if he came to Brooklyn. Its a chemistry issue that he's tied up in now. To be honest with every other team outside of LA he would have been the man from which play is generated. While I have said he was a bit of clown before and that he lacked leadership before, I never criticized his effort. He plays as hard every possession/other team possession as Kevin Garnett or prime Kobe did... nobody else is the workhorse he is. NY loves effort/production players and he would make Brooklyn a winning brand. On the Knicks there would be more pressure.

There is a part of DH I notice that doesn't care about outside pressure at all. So I will never call him a clown again because he's got guts. But yeah, you kind of wish he was that ruthless on the court.

He's let everything off court affect him. He's reacted badly to outside pressure at every turn. And that "he plays as hard as garnett or prime kobe" is just utter bullshit. There were always games you pushed him and he folded his tent and went home. It's always been like that. And he hasn't been engaged for more than two years in playing, that doesn't count?

Dwight likes to either laugh and giggle or not talk to the media when he's nto doing well. And he speaks WAY too much. Doesnt' coach speak either. Him and NY is a terrible fit. Unless he came in and won titles right away. Which is a huge stretch.

You're basically wrong about everything.

LOL, over the last five years before this one nobody is close to him in rebounds, blocks and paint points. Its a complete and utter joke to say somebody over the previous 500 games put out like him. Only Lebron is the two way player he is - its another tier before you get to the next guy. Who else are you comparing him to??? You can add up all of the other two way players together and they won't have the same number of 20/20 games as DH or 25/20 games over the past five years. BS??? Please I'm waiting for a reply.

LOL, you apparently wasn't here when I was saying he wasn't MVP the year before last. Last year he wasn't bad despite crazy team issues and his back being out of whack. Still the best big man easily as he was the previous three years as well. Seriously, you have somebody even close to him? Well outside of KG in the championship run.

You basically can't start a new franchise and dis the first star you get. It would ruin your foundation as a franchise. Trust me that's not a reality. I was in PR production for years. No chance.

Even the Knicks couldn't afford to be like that to a player now because they have a local rival that would use that as leverage to steal better free agents. Mello or Amare haven't been booed and their is a huge let down in us not getting Lebron. Kim Kardasian seemingly had a few plants in the audience to boo Humphries and you going to tell me that Mello, who had less impact on wins than Lin at that exact same time, didn't get booed. Believe it or not there are paid people in the audience to control certain things.

And both stadiums have say so and can apply pressure on journalist through their advertising dollar. You Just don't know.
