It seems like after every all star weekend, the nba has 1 or 2 players who come out of nowhere and have a career season to finish up the year. Last season was the birth of the "sanitys". we had linsanity, ersanity and gorsanity/dragsanity (goran dragic).
What are your guesses for this seasons break out player(s) post all star break?
for me, its gonna be andre drummond. yes, he's already on the radar of a lot of nba fans, but with an 18 and 18 game under his belt, i definitely see coach frank giving him more minutes as this season comes to an end. and with these minutes, i can see him having a huge finish to his rookie year.
if rudy gay does end up a raptor, i think it would be smart to try and move derozen, and let ross finish up the season at the 2. thus, giving him a much better chance of finishing the season strong.
7 foot tall guy who's jacking threes. Reminds me Bargnani a lot. Until he learns something about defense he won't get any minutes.
My pick would be Will Barton.

Pff, Motie aint 3 point jacker, learn something. Dude has the top 10 post moves in the NBA right NOW! And no, Im not overrating, this is truth. Good point on defense, tho. Im not confident on this part of his game.

being a celtics fan, do you see avery bradley joining the list of "break out" players?
I listed Bradley, I dont know why you dont see it.
Without rondo he must MUST step up. Obligatory.

ye i see that now. must have scrolled right past it, originally.
I don't think Drummond is going to truly break out for another season.
I feel like a rookie will breakout post all-star, though. Not sure which...
Maybe also someone like Wall or Dirk. A player hitting their stride after an injury.
I agree. I was gonna say Wall also. I was thinking more veterans like Terry and Bayless. LMA will also step up. Lillard is going to start wearing down with all the work he does every game.
