Default Does James Harden have unguardable deceptive speed?

I've seen a few Rockets games this year and noticed that on the fastbreak the dude isn't super fast or anything. He dribbles casually and then takes two hard dribbles to the left and BOOM! he's at the basket.

Does anyone notice this as well?

Yep. He is definitely not one of the fastest or athletic guys, but he is crafty and unguardable in the fastbreak.

Maybe it's just me, but he looks like he travels every other drive. I think it's the way he uses the eurostep and goes left... or maybe he just travels a lot.

It better be 1v5 or else Harden is getting a layup in any 1 on 3 or less situation.

no knock on Harden, but there are no knocks on Harden.

Or any other player.

No touch defense is an absurdity in the NBA and should go away instantly.

You don't have to be super fast, or super quick to take people off the dribble.

If any of you have played, they teach you about rocker step, hesitation moves. If you're able as the offensive player to have great change of pace moves, especially in the half court, it gives you deceptive speed and defenders can't stay in front of you.

See Steve Nash from 2003 - 2011, he's slow as hell, but had deceptive change of pace moves.
