Default Do you have any health concerns that worry you?

I've had a swollen saliva gland under my jaw for about a year and a half. One doctor told me it was a swollen lymph node, another doctor poked and prodded and said it was nothing. Finally an ENT doctor figured it out. I recently told him it hasn't gone away and he wants me to get a CT scan. I'm not scared, but it does nag at me.

Also, a couple of weeks ago all the nerves in my upper body up to my jaw seem to be constantly active. I've been under huge amounts of stress over the past 2 years, but lately things have been great. So, I'm not really nervous, but this constant tingling doesn't allow me to focus. This one has me concerned cause it could go away or remain forever depending on what's going on. I'm in the process of trying to get to the bottom of it.

What are your concerns? Have any of you gone through what I described above?

It's not noticeable from the outside. Only when I touch it or turn my head do I feel it. It hasn't grown either.

My diet is terrible and both my parents have high blood pressure. I'm getting more worried about it, but I have failed every time trying to fix it.

Could be your rotator cuff. I've torn both of mine and thankfully they've healed somewhat, or at least the pain has gone away.

Never have surgery for something like that. It will limit your mobility.

I would just get the scan if you truly want to ease the anxiety, but I wouldn't stress about it. I can feel my saliva glands as well, it might just be in your head. I panicked when I first felt mine like 12 years ago, I thought there was something wrong with me. 12 years later, it's still the same.

Same here. I go for weeks at a time eating a very good diet, but once I sway back to the dark side it goes downhill again. I've had some bloodwork done that said everything is in good condition now, but there are some very serious ailments that run in my family (high bp, diabetes, etc.) so its something I have to work on even harder.

I have postural hypotension, which is basically getting light headed when you stand up suddenly. It doesn't always happen, but it's often enough to be concerning. Doc says my blood pressure is naturally low because I'm in good aerobic shape and this is known to cause it, so I hope that is the explanation.

Guess I have that too, it happens rarely. I also keep myself in good shape.

yeah, i've had it x-rayed and it was my rotator. when it first happened i couldn't raise my arms without pain. i waited for a few months and it never healed so i went through PT. that helped alot and i was almost back to normal but then i had a setback so taking it easy again. it's really frustrating, especially with summer quickly approaching.

Thats exactly like me,sometimes in scary numbers, I dont recall correctly but one is ~50 other ~70-50, I also went to Doc and he told me the same. Im also quite sensitive in some topics - lets say blood and stuff like that, so whenever at dentist or barber I hear someone talking about it I get extremely light headed, once even passed out.

Also one time at school we were singing anthem outside and it was quite hot, and while singing I started feeling very week and I passed out and fell into some bush . I have quite a history of this.

This problem its really more psychologically in my case. Maybe in yours too.

My only health concern is the usage of nicotine... its not from smoking though, so thats a big relief as nicotine itself is not fatal, i mean it cant give you cancer or something... although it can bottleneck your cardio/workout somewhat and i guess after many many years you could get higher blood pressure...
