Default JJ Redick off to great start for Bucks

J.J. Redick has played five games with the Bucks and the team has won four, after losing by one point in his debut against Atlanta.

Not a bad start.

And Redick has made a big difference coming off the bench, averaging 15.4 points and providing another backcourt weapon to go along with Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings. Redick scored eight of the Bucks’ 10 points in overtime in their 109-108 victory over Utah on Monday night.

Default Re: JJ Redick off to great start for Bucks

J.J. Redick knew better than to think he would slide into a perfect situation with the Milwaukee Bucks after being acquired at the trade deadline.

But the seventh-year pro from Duke figured he could make it work, even though it meant meshing with an established backcourt tandem of Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings.

And Redick admits he still is adjusting as he prepares to play his 20th game with the Bucks on Wednesday against Minnesota, after spending his first six-plus seasons as a member of the Orlando Magic.

Redick found his shooting touch Monday night with a 20-point effort in Milwaukee's 131-102 thrashing of the Charlotte Bobcats. He hit 8 of 12 shots while scoring his highest point total since arriving in the Feb. 21 deal with Orlando.
