Default If American ballers..

If American ballers went to Europe and played with the ballers out there...

Their playground ballers vs our playground ballers.

Would it be a competitive, fun pick up game?

Would it be one sided?

The Euroleague MVP stats are 15/6 I believe. That discussion got my mind wondering.

Say you and your friends you usually ball with, is it fair to say you'd destroy your bizarro world European counterparts in a pick up game?

France sent their Pro A players (division 1) and Greece and Serbia sent their U23 players (elite in their own right)

The US sent "who?" players to those tournaments.

People who make pro sports leagues are nowhere on the chart at all, in terms of their abilities. They are statistically irrelevant to the average player, completely irrelevant.

Depending on the neighborhood, the accessibility to courts and the popularity of the game, the median basketball player anywhere in the world should be pretty similar.

In other words, we all pretty much suck to the same degree.

But I find the concept amusing, of a 14 year old American on vacation in France deciding he's gonna own the playground cause he thinks euroleague sucks and nba is awesome.

I live in France and when I tell some soccer playing kids I am American they think they could and would dominate Major League soccer and play D1 NCAA easily.

Well those "kids" were ranged from 14-18. They were serious players. But they highly underestimate soccer talent in the US.

I am willing to bet MLS is better than their French pro league. ligue1.com

There is less of a "playground culture" in Europe (though it's mostly a generalization, not all countries in "Europe" are the same).
However, those who practice the sport learn how to play real organized basketball much sooner, so they tend to have better fundamentals and use whatever talents they have much better in a team context.

playground rules

winners of any major city summer tourney would dominate any team of euro summer league ballers

NY-Chicago-Philly would serve anybody

winners of major city summer tourney are really really good players.

we're talking about typical kids on a playground, I thought anyway.

But then, as usual, the topic was changed to "white power" because 9512 and his avy pic are here. I really think you should put that back up, btw
