Cool Petrie Complaining about Musselman?

who isn't?

New York Daily News - Eric Musselman has confused and frustrated several members of the Kings this year, but they aren't alone in that sentiment.

VP Geoff Petrie privately complained that he has yet to figure out Musselman's player rotation.

I wonder if petrie got anything done over the AS break. Trade dead line is creeping up. Only 3 days left, I think.

Petrie doesn't like Eric Musselhead... Honestly Muss is probably gone at the end of the season if things don't improve significantly, and you can quote me on this... Muss has kinda alienated some players, he's annoyed Martin with Kevin's inconsistent playing time, the Maloofs are probably wondering why the young players who have been impressive don't get more time. I don't remember where it was but they did some radio interviews over the ASB and in one of them they basically said "the vets besides Ron have been dissapointing and they young guys have been impressive". So yeah, I think Muss is probably gone after this year. Dude should change his last name to Hustleman! because he just hustled the Maloofs for 7 million dollars.(yeah I realized that sounded dumb but it's the truth)

I hope Petrie gets something done at the deadline or before. I just want to see him send Bibby and Artest and some of our other vets packing. We need a good draft pick, some cap space, some young players, etc.

if the kings do make a trade by the deadline it will obviously be to free up cap space.

I'm starting to think that Petrie is so full of himself that he actually believes this is a well assembled team. So the more he blames Mussellman the more he deflects the blame for putting together this worthless group of idiots.

muss is gone at the end of the season even if they start winning, imo. he's just not the right guy.

I agree, he's not the right guy. But you have to have the pieces to succeed, they haven't given him the pieces. You can't play defensive ball without defensive players. Petrie doesn't know how to assemble a defensive squad which is why him and Adelman were so successful. If the maloofs wanted to change direction and be a defensive squad then they need to clean house. Players and staff. Otherwise they should have left it alone and let things be the way they were. If we're going for defense in the future then get us a GM that knows how to build a defensive team.

I know the team looks bad but hmmm I was just thinking about it... Not the right pieces? Maybe not the right pieces to be a defensive team but to suceed? Not sure.

We have Bibby who isn't playing great this year but he's probably the best player never to make an allstar team. A scoring PG who's normally clutch. He avg'd 21 ppg last year and played 82 games.

We have SAR who in this league had avg'd 20 ppg or better in 6 different season. Who should be starting not Kenny just because he complains louder.

We have Artest who is a former Defensive Player of the Year.

Miller who's a former allstar.

Kevin Martin who's improving rapidly and probably the best player on the team this year.

Maybe it's not the pieces?

I agree. I think if they had a different coach they would be better team IMO.
