Which player had the best rookie stats of all-time and which player had the most talent in his rookie year?

I'll take Magic for the best rookie year. He's had the most impact of any first year player. Not in terms of team turnaround but overall impact to the league.

Most talent in his rookie year? Isn't that just "most talented player ever?" Talent is that with which you are naturally endowed. A 35 year-old NBA veteran doesn't have any less talent than he did when he was 23.

Magic, as has already been said. D-Rob had a pretty terrific one, too.

And the obligatory Larry Legend. Look at the Celtics record from the year before, and then the year after.

IMO players get more talented as they get older; their talent slowly decreases after their prime

talent = overall game

By most talented i meant who had the best skillset as a rookie

Tim Duncan was also pretty darn good as a rookie. 21 and 12 on 55% shooting. Yeah he had a prime David Robinson next to him, but his skill set was great as a rookie.

Im not going to go way back.
But im gonna go in the last 5years.

In the last 5years it would have to be Chris Paul, talk about an impact; he made a New Orleans that was going no where into a playoff team. He made players like David West open up into one of the more "decent" players in the league. He was in the top of the league in steals and assists in his first season.

Last 5 years, its Chris Paul. His rookie season was amazing.

There's no doubt that Wilt was just too dominate at his time. Im not trying to take anything out of him, but there's no way he could get that in the league today.

But credit too him, he was just too dominate.
