i think instead of Shawne Williams, pacers should have went after Marcus Williams...Marcus was supposed to be the best PG in the draft, i have no clue why he went to high (22nd). Pacers are in need of a PG, and Marcus would have been perfect... o well, Walsh and Bird have always scouted well, lets see what happens
how are the pacers in need of a pg? sarunas/aj/tinsley are all capable of starting and performing at above average levels
if we had to pick between the 2 williams, for this team right now shawne was the right choice
Tinsley is the only one that is a starting PG, but hes always injured. Sarunas isnt a real PG hes more of a shooting guard, and AJ is a good PG but off the bench. Pacers really need a real starting PG. Marcus Williams would have been perfect, he led the nation in assists this year
hed still be a rookie and he'd be learning the hardest position on the court to play, it'd be better for our team to have a vet bringing the ball up court
im not against getting rid of tinsley since hes constantly injured or AJ since he's more of a backup but if i had to choose id rather stick with them then relying on a rook
Having Marcus Williams as a backup and future replacement to Tinsley would be awesome. However, the other Williams has great potential and could be valuable trade bait.

wow, i started his thead years ago...I totally change my opinion on it, Shawne is going to be better than Marcus in the future...
I'd like to see him go to Philadelphia, but I don't see any trade scenarios that could work out. Maybe Portland. But the Pacers' only "need" is defense and maybe center help. Dalembert can do both, but he's got a big contract. And I don't think Oden will be coming to the Pacers any time soon.
