I'm not a fan, but Kobe Bryant plays hard, especially in the playoffs. Alex Rodriguez has done nothing to merit being equated to Bryant. If I had to compare him to an NBA star it'd be Chris Webber with Rick Barry's personality.

I think the comparison is very accurate

they're both:

arguably the most skilled players in their games

people with a penchant for isolating themselves from the team

people who sound contrite in interviews

people who try to hard to be 'down'

ARod is a punk. We saw it here when he was on the Rangers. He NEVER comes through in the clutch, is a prima donna and is nowhere near the nice guy image he tries to pull off. All he wants is for everyone to love him.
