I don't believe you can take out IE, maybe the icon but you can't uninstall it beacause it's the basic file viewer for windows, and because of certain .NET programs it's tough to remove MSN Messenger. Although it has been a few years since I tried and I know the courtcase went down with the computers not working after you removed Windows, and the anti-trust so maybe it's different now.
