Default Why was Dominique Wilkins not considered for the 1992 Dream Team despite his talent?

Why was Dominique Wilkins not even considered for the 1992 Original Dream Team despite his obvious talent?

I think a player o his caliber deserves a spot on that team along with Isiah Thomas. What do you think?

Christ you people are f&cking morons. First of all, WHY would DOminique be on the 1992 Dream team when he only played 42 games that season and there were better players at the small forward position (namely Pippen and Bird).

Second of all, Dominique played for Team USA at the 1994 World Championships (with Shaq, Zo, Kemp, etc).

Bird 1991-1992 season = 45 games
Magic Johnson 1991-1992 season = N/A

Key words. "Better PLayers"

The 92 dream team was deliberately chosen to represent the best that America had, and to honor those NBA legends whose careers were at an end. Hence, Larry Bird and Magic JOhnson. Hence, Pippen at the 3 instead of Dominique.

Also, name 1 reason why Dominique should have been on that team that already had plenty of athleticism...and instead of a defensive legend like Pippen, or a pure shooter like Mullin. Please.

Oh yea and one more thing:

Try to stop get your facts straight before trying to rebut an argument.

Injury brought an early end to Wilkins's 1991-92 season but not before he was named an NBA All-Star for the seventh time in his career. During a game against Philadelphia in late January 1992, he ruptured his Achilles tendon, forcing him to miss the All-Star Game and the last 40 games of the season.

This is why Dominique wasn't even considered for the team smart one. Ruptures his Achilles in Janurary 1992...1992 Olympics are in the summer of that year.
