Default What's more realistic?

So what's the most realistic posibility?

That Farmar and Bynum will be far better players next season?
That Mitch will sign a legitimate contributor through the MLE?
That a major trade will take place that will turn the Lakers into contenders?
That the Lakers will score big on the draft?

I don't think I can post polls yet, but any of you feel free to do so!

Farmar and Bynum will be far better players next year.

There aren't many good free agent point guards, so I think Phil and the front office will go into next season with Farmar as the starter. Bynum will be fine if Kobe is willing to pass the ball to him when he's in the post and let him do his thing.

90%. That's really normal for rookies and 19-20 year old, respectively.

60%. But I also think we have to fill the PG or C starting spot with some sort of a trade.

10%. Only if one big name is made expendable for cheap, which is highly unlikely.

5%. We have a below-average 1st rounder and it could (and should) be traded to sweeten a deal for a starting PG or C.
0% chance we trade up: this year nobody wants to trade down and Kobe will get mad if we give away veterans to aquire picks.

So what kind of numbers should we realistically expect from Bynum and Farmar?
I'm hoping...hoping that Bynum can come back with 15pts 8rbs 2.5blks
and Farmar with 12pts 5 assists, and 2.0 steals

As for the MLE, I worry that Mitch will waste it on an Aaron Mckie type

It depends on how many minutes they will be playing, i.e. if we get veteran players in the PG and C positions.
I think your Bynum stats are correct for 35 min, which is pretty unlikely while Farmar ones are too high anyway: he would probably be playing 20 min at best, with 7-8 pts, 3 ast and 1 stl. And that will be not bad, after all.

Of course, this is the risk. But I hope he can get some good player around 27-30 years' old like Magloire or Charlie Bell, depending on the position he choose.
