Default Possible Players that the Lakers will Pick

Ok, here are a list of players I think the Lakers could pick with pick #19 and COULD have an impact right away....

1.) Javaris Crittenton PG 6-5 180 19 Georgia Tech

Crittenton is the taller PG that P-Jax perfers. He also distributes the ball well, plays defense and has a solid jumper. Crittenton is also a really good floor general.

2.) Brandon Rush SG 6-7 205 21 Kansas

Rush can play the 3 spot and allow Odom to play the PF and create match up problems. He is a slasher with a decent jumper.

3.) Alando Tucker SF 6-5 205 23 Wisconsin

Tucker is a scorer plain and simple. Is good down on the blocks, he can board and plays sound defense.

4.) Gabe Pruitt PG 6-4 170 21 USC

A local kid that is anothe rtaller PG that fits what P-Jax wants. He is a good defender and is a leader on the court.

there is about a 75% chance that pick gets traded for a veteran player. Look for the Magic to make a play for it to get back into the 1st round.

Are you implying Grant Hill?

Hill is a free agent. They could possibly pick him up for 1/2 of the MLE.

I've seen threads where they were looking to trade Arroyo or Dooling (maybe both) or Darko for a pick into the first round.

Darko is interesting though.

I thought Hill wanted to finish his career in Orlando... but I fear he would be another Aaron McKie for the Lakers... despite his great name, I dont know if he's "got it" anymore.

Why does Darko interest you? I think of him as another soft euro... we already have sasha and we had medvedenko... why make the mistake three times?

I would MUCH RATHER take a young player like Crittenton who has more potential then Arroyo or Dooling. Darko is a bum plain and simple, I wouldn't trade for him UNLESS if it was for another scrub, or a 2nd rounder...NOT a 1st.

Darko is a shot blocker. He's not soft like Medvedenko, Sasha, etc. He plays good defense and he could fit the system.

Hill is still a 15 PPG performer and could be a great system player also. I hadn't heard anything about him wanting to retire as a member of the Magic, but wanted to play on a contender IF he doesn't retire.

The lakers do not need another young player, they need veteran help. I've only heard that the Magic wanted into the first round and the Lakers wanted out of it. So that makes me believe that they could be trade partners. Who knows who they could return, those are the 3 that was brought up.

neither Arroyo nor Dooling would be the answer or need.
take Crittendon or trade the pick for a solid vet.

I would rather have Crittenton and deal for more veteren help (Garnett/Randolph/O'Neal). If they (meaning Mitch "I need a" KUP-check) can pull of a deal to land another big time player (i.e. Garnett) and land a player like Jarvaris Crittenton, that should make Kobe a happy guy.

Crittenton is the type of PG that creates match-up problems because of his size and is still quick enough to d-up on smaller gaurds, not to mention he could also run the 2 w/ Farmar when Kobe needs a blow.

Crittenton is not a good decision maker, turns the ball over way too much, and is not nearly ready to help out at point guard in the NBA. We would be better off taking a SG/SF who plays solid defense and is able to shoot the 3. Nick Young would be great, but he's going to be off the board by the time the Lakers pick at 19.

grant hill is a gamble i'd take, you know the only thing that would keep him off the court would be an injury for the price you can't go to wrong...

Crittendon was a freshman. Thrown into the ACC to lead his team as a big PG. Take that into consideration. His decision making will vastly improve.

Hes just saying that as everyone else does. Aaron Mckie showed signs of being done before we got him averaging 2 ppg on Philly the previous year but grant hill still has some game left. However if he wants to come, it better be for 2 million or less. I can't stand having injured players anymore. Is he better than mister luke walton the midseason fadeawayer? YES

My point exactly. If you have not seen Aloando Tucker B-Ball, then you better do your homework. If the lakers get a chance to pick this player we better jump on it. This guy has the abilities to be a star in the NBA. Lakerfreak i'm very surprise this guy would be around at 19th. Would become a started in his first year count on that.
