Not a fan of the present stuff but you got to give props to the past.
Fox and the Hound
The ones who invented storylines, have a bit of adult humor, and stand out as the animated epics, but still appeals to children as they were meant to.)
My personal fav would be
1. Lion King (African animal culture, Very philosophical, invents a true antagonist-protagonist relationship (father/son vs. jealous uncle), has some pretty upbeat songs, Endless pop-culture references, Elton John's debut, Glorified Revenge etc.)
2. Mulan (Teaches a bit of Asian historical culture, the warrior's life and objective, conquering prejudice, surpassing borders, and "I'll Make a Man Out of You")
3. Aladdin (Arabian culture, a couple of morals, some ok songs, concept of desires differing among people, etc.)
My only request is that they allow evil to win sometimes?
Oh yeah and for the Jungle Book fans, the 2 disk special edition DVD drops this October. Chea chea chea boooooi (read that in a "rapper accepting a BET award who calls himself promoting his album but is actually just reminding people to go download it for free" voice)
Well these aren't necessarily my favorites, but i'm just gonna list some good ones that haven't been listed:
Sleeping Beauty (yes i watched and liked it)
Lady and the Tramp
Beauty and the Beast
