If not they should have. That was pretty sad.

Vince even stood up for MoPete and offered to pay the fine if there was one after the game.

Aren't they good friends? If so, I think they were just playing around.

No way, dude. I have to disagree. Mo was going for his head!

If the ref wasn't paying attention and then just happens to look up and see a slap to the face then I can see why he would think the way he did...

and after he threw a fit it was too late to take back the call

It was stated at the time that they were joking around with each other.

Carter actually went to the ref and explained what happened. The refs didn't rescind the call even with a full explanation.

The refs should know who are good friends in the league (Mo and VC) and who hate each other (Ray and Bruce Bowen)

yeah but like I said before, it was too late at that point because he already threw a fit and chunked his uniform into the stands...how is the ref gonna say "ok, my bad dude, you can come back"?

It's very true. Still a shame how it went down, but it's a tough situation for the refs.

Peterson and Vince are indeed good friends. It's just that on the basketball court, you can't tell who's good friends with whom. Rasheed and Jermaine O'Neal are very close friends, but when they play against each other, they don't show that.

I'm more concerned about whether the league, as in David Stern and Stu Jackson, apologized.

I do believe the ref could have let him back in the game. Even the most stoic of players would have acted up had they been tossed under similar circumstances.
