Default 11 for Bibby?

Itís quite clear you need a good point guard who can shoot and distribute. Bibby is that point guard. He had a bad year last year by his standards (17, 5 and 3) while playing for a horrible coach who had no idea how to run a team, and he also had a bad wrist injury for a long time.

So, would you trade Speedy, Marvin Williams and the 11th pick for Bibby? Then draft Horford (or whoever with the 3rd) and have a very strong lineup of Bibby, JJ, J Smith, Horford and Pryz. With S.Williams and J chill on the bench thatís a very solide lineup in the east as well as having a very talented young team. Draft or trade for a young PG and have him learn from Bibby. Bibby would be great to have in that role, heís one of the best PGs a young PG could learn from.

I would rather do Speedy and Shelden. Otherwise there is no way I am giving up Speedy and Mar and 11.

So Hawks fans would do Sheldon/Speedy and 11th for Bibby and future 2nd?
Seems like a good deal for both sides, Hawks would be competitive with a great young team while filling their biggest hole with a very good PG, and Kings get an extra pick as they try to rebuild.

As much as I love Mike Bibby, I highly dobut he come to Atlanta. He wants to go to a contending team. The Hawks haven't made the playoffs in 8 years so I don't expect Bibby to come to Atlanta.

Mike Bibby is happy as long as he's getting his big $. He didn't ask to be traded so I wouldn't see that as a problem, especially seeing as he's happy staying with the Kings who are far from being contenders. He doesn't have the right to stop a trade (which he wouldn't do anyway) to the Hawks. A change of scenery would do Mike the world of good IMO. The great thing about him as well is that he can run a fast paced offense (ala Kings a few years ago) or a slow it down offense. Running the pick n roll with Horford would also be lethal with Mike. He's really clutch and will hit big shot after big shot, he's got ice in his veins. The deal makes so much sense for both teams that that's the reason it probably won't go through!

Big wup ..who cares..the kings didnt make the PO's and dnt expect to make it next season either!

Bibby just wants big dollars imo Plus he'd get to play with young studs and he'd be a real leader on the team

Maglore/Zaza/Wright
Harford/Solomon
J.Smith/Marvin
JJ/Childress
Bibby/Salim/Ivey

looks very productive to me....with a couple moves maybe getting Maglore would be deadly

If that trades happens than the Kings won't have a good pg.

The Kings could use the 10th to pick up Conley (unlikely he's available) or someone like Law or Crittenton as long term replacements. The Kings have many players who can temporarily handle the ball anyways such as Garcia, Salmons, Artest at times, and combo guards off the bench like Price and Douby. Although we would still lack a true point guard, we would manage fine and it wouldn't matter all that much since we're rebuilding.

I understand the deal would make sense, but still if a trade was to happen he might say he dooesn't want to go to Atlanata and plus can opt out his contract so what would be the point of bring him here and he would just be their for one year and leave to go somewhere and contend for a ring.

I doubt he has any reason not to go to ATL. Its not like he's playing on a winning team in Sacramento.

The year his contract runs out, there will be a ton of good FA's so it would be a nice year to have an expirer.
