seriously, they have really gotten away from the meaning of sports. they talk about "whos now" and stuff. who cares? why cant we get a better breakdown of what is going ON the field instead of around it. im tired of hearing that ****head skip bayless talking about how tiger woods looks too sexy in his golf attire. who cares? i want to watch espn to become more knowledgable about the sport. i KNOW they do a good job of telling you what happens in the sport like highlight wise and stuff. but they should have a show dedicated to talking about whats going on ON the field instead of the stuff surrounding it. like it will be a show called "film session" to replace thatt morning pizza stuff. they would have actual EXPERTS who played the game, unlike woody and skip, and you would hear good info. maybe they would talk about in the first segment about what kind of defense indy ran against baltimore in game one, explain how they did what the did and what not. then maybe next segment talk about how the dallas mavs run the pic and pop in different situations. i can go on and on with stuff that i want to see or know about more often. anyways thats just me, bantering away. im just tired of espns crooked marketing men,
The only thing that annoys me is when they always report the bad things athletes do. Take Ron Artest for example. The headlines will read "Artest, along with Stephen Jackson suspended 7 games for arrests", and then they'll say "Oh by the way, Artest is in Africa helping HIV+ kids, so he has no clue he's been suspended".
so stop watching it. I haven't watched one minute of ESPN since around the start of the playoffs. Other than the NBA draft special. ESPN's worthless. Go to ISH and Real GM. Y!NBA for scores and box scores. Screw ESPN.
yeah. this is the worst sports month by far, but my anger with espn has grown for a while. too much stuff around it, i want to see how people execute plays and read stuff and whatnot. nfl live does a good job but nba hasnt done a good job. but w.e.

i also write this cuz even since i got nfl network i realized how ****ty espns programming is. nfl has some good stuff even in the dead time of football *which ends soon!!!!*
Haha..Can you actually get banned for saying it...??? But yeah I dont watch ESPN until PTI comes on but other than that I hate ESPN unless its basketball season...
I think I would go into withdraw or something if I did.
there is just no sports right now....plain and simple....it isn't ESPN's fault that the only thing interesting right now is Bonds chase for the record...
im tired of seeing and hearing about Nascar on Sportscenter every day.
also ESPN makes the biggest deal over some of the smallest things, and only shows the bad things certain athletes do.
Considering Baseball is the only thing going on, ESPN should pick up on soccer at least. They only covered Copa America for 15 seconds a day and had some chick with a latin accent report on the games.
You mean the Eastern Seaboard Programming Network? You guys dont want to hear when some one from Bahstin farts and some New Yorker finds it offensive. Plus, were else are you gonna get competetive eating followed by poker? If you're lucky the spelling bee might get shown. Or that who's now....so riveting.the preceeding was brought to you be Capt. A-hole and Sargent Sarcism-together ridding the world of stupidity, one dumb@$s at a time.......
ESPN sucks royally. Guys like Stuart Scott and Chris Berman have gone way downhill. It's painful to watch sportscenter. Like the OP said, it's not about the X's and O's anymore, it's about the drama crap that goes on off the field that has very little to do with the actual game itself. The "Who's Now" segment seems like something straight off of entertainment tonight.
In conclusion, ESPN is just a bunch of NOISE. Form your own opinions. Odds are, they are better than what ESPN is telling you to believe.
Another funny thing about ESPN is that they have "experts like Steve Phillips, who offers up advice on what baseball teams should do at the training deadline. F uck outta here dude! He was a failure as a GM, signing guys like Roberto Alomar and Mo Vaughn to huge, who were way past their prime.
