He signed the Spurs offer sheet. Now its up to the Knicks to match or let him go.
Anyone (Knick fans) have a POV about Jackie?
He's young, has great upside, and is powerful.
He's still only 21.
The Spurs game plan is to have either Elson or Butler starting at C with either one being the back up (most likely Elson by years end) with Oberto (if he isn't used in a trade) as the 3rd back up.

Pretty good player. Young, can post up and score, and is big. However, his defense isn't that good, but I think it's worth the risk for the Spurs. He could turn to be good player for them, and I don't think the Knicks will match the offer sheet.
Pop has screwed up this off-season trading Rasho and letting Nazr.
He is reduced to Jackie Butler and Francisco Elson.
Not good.
oh, come on. elson is a pretty decent center. though he's not much of a low post threat as far as offense, he can rebound well and has a good midrange shot for a big guy. i would say he's better than nazr offensively and is way more athletic than rasho. i don't like the spurs anyway though.
now for butler, i can't say anything cause i've never seen him play.
Solid signing. Butler was better then Eddy curry last season with the knicks. He hustles, rebounds, can score, a bit short 6-9ish though. Came out of HS undrafted was he? Made a mark in my mind with his hustle plays, I remember one game Jerome James in the first 6 minsutes of the game had 14 straight points, got tired fouled someone to have the 6 min timeout, LB shook his head, the annoucers couldnt believe Jerome would do that, LB played Butler that game and he played hard and good.
