Post Dorell Wright

Dude had an awesome game yesterday against the Bulls: 20 points, 8 boards, 8 assists, 7 steals. Anybody know anything about this guy?

Yuh, we drafted him at #19 I believe in the 2004 draft. He's got good upside, and the Heat analysts claim he's the most athletic of all the players in the organization.

Yeah, he's really good in NBA Live 2005. He may be better than Wade next (not that Wade's that good; Lebron and Kobe is light years in front of him). But Wade plus the refs = Finals MVP.

Forget D. Wright, Antoine Walker sucks you need to get rid of him.

Ooh man, those stats are so sweet. I'm drooling just like Homer J Simpson over pork chops. Where did you get those stats from? Reading NBA stats, is the only math I enjoy. *lol*

During the season, he's not gonna be able to get those kind of stats. These games are the summer league. It's great to see that he's got so much potential though. This is almost madness to see that from a SG that hardly played the past two years.

It makes me wonder if the Heat buried him on the bench to learn and improve, and sign him for a nice cheap long-term contract, when he's fully blossomed. But at the same time, he's about 20 or 21. His rookie contract expires in two years. If he shows improve this season, I can't see why the Heat won't sign him for a cheap deal, just like Philly got Willie Green. But that's a different story. Willie was injuried and blah blah blah,...

But I do hope that Dorrell get some playing time next year. J. Will is gonna have surgery soon, and Payton might retire. That'll push Wade to run the point a few times early in the season. That should give Dorrell some PT at SG. But then again, what about Gansey from WVU. He has about the same frame as Wade. Well, the same height and weight. I'm not sure about his frame though. He's a great 3-point shooter. He has heart. He rebounds. Depends. 4 years of college competition. He might be a challenge for Dorrell at the 2-guard.

If Gary retires, and Jason misses the first few weeks of the season, one of the backs better start learning the point. Based on this game, Dorrell might be able to handle it.

Man, I'd love to be able to watch him play in the summer leagues, and rip it up. Woot, Woot!! *lol*

Pat Riley still believes Dorell Wright can be the Heats starting SF.

Couldn't you find anything older to drag up.
I rather see him gain a little wait, & muscle, & play PF. I like to see him closer to the rim. & with his ball handling he will kill most PFs off the dribble.

I think that expiration date is expired. That milk is starting to look like yogurt.

I think it's past that... cottage cheese now.

After the trade for Q-Rich... I just don't see how Dorrell can get any minutes unless he can somehow handle backup PG duties as a sort of point-forward.

I wish we could combine players. Have Mario Chalmers fuse with Dorrell's athletic ability, and James Jones 3 point shooting. Then fuse Q Rich with Cook and have yourself a more athletic outside threat. And combine Haslem and Beasley.

Oh well.

Lol Well, I just hope working with Tim Grover pays off for Dorell and JO like it did for Wade
