Based on performances in the Orlando League, who do you think deserves the final two roster spots (assuming we don't sign any free agents)?
I think Aaron Miles should definitely get one. He has played so well, consistently dishing out assists, and playing smart basketball. I don't see how we can keep him off the roster, especially with Pargo not looking like he will be with us next season.
As for the last spot, I think that it should go to Schenscher. For the 5 minutes we might need him to might play, we could do a lot worse. He has shown improvement in his post moves, and is just plain tall. We could use a little height.
miles was showing a lot of good stuff in SL. he was averagin sumthin like 18 ppg, i kno its summer leage, but it seemed like he was driving to the bucket a lot more and we need a guy like that to get fouled and hit sum freethrows. he would be my pick, and then big bird schensher cuz hes just fun to watch. . . .cuz hes terrible. i remember him tryin 2 step back and fade away from like 8 feet out and he went back and just bobbled the ball and threw it out of bounds. we need a guy like that so we can take a load of for the 3 or 4 minutes that he plays all season
I can't see us trading Duhon and Sweets for Gooden, it just doesn't make sense. I think this is a smokescreen initiated by the Cavs so other teams start making offers. If we traded for him, TT would get no minutes at all, hardly a Paxson/Skiles-esque move. His salary would also prohibit us from resigning our young guns in the coming years. Just doesn't seem right...
He improved every year in college, had a great summer camp for us, considering he didn't get any kind of PT at all with Golden State last year. I'm guessing that, being at Kansas under Tubby Smith, he would have a pretty good work ethic, especially if you look at the guys that have come out of there (excluding Rondo): Collison, Hinrich, Simien, etc.
