Default Is Kobe a franchise player?

Is he a player that can be built around? Is he a championship level player right now?

For me, its a simple answer but I couldn't believe my eyes reading some of the posts in Adamcz's "franchise players" thread.

Default Re: Is Kobe a franchise player?

surely this is not even in question.
he's the best player in the world (at least according to the NBA player/coaches).
obviously he is a franchise player.
only someone with an agenda...or a h@ter...would say otherwise.

You'd need to be an idiot to think otherwise.

Using logic/reasoning

There are about as many franchise players as franchises.

So is Kobe a Top 30 player in the League?

YES

I mean, it's not that hard to understand, Franchise Players = Players that are LEADERS of a Franchise, or players than can lead franchises. So you need about 30 to fill each franchise.

So, therefore, Kobe is a Franchise Player.

Carmelo Anthony confidence is sky high. They could throw in a 6th man on opposing squads and he will still give them the business! I wonder if Larry Brown/Joe Dumars ended up with Carmelo if Larry would have made Carmelo's transition difficult?

Ridiculous logic considering not every teams best player is a LEADER.

Best Player or Captain. They don't necessarily have to be the leader in the locker room, but the Top 30 players in the league are all Franchise Players. And when I say Top 30, I am factoring in Leadership.

Considering we were talking about Kobe being a Franchise player
and you start talking about you're talking about Carmelo Anthony and if his transition would be harder with Larry Brown and Joe Dumars.

Yep

Either you're stupid if you think that has ANYTHING to do with Kobe being a Franchise Player or not, or you made another stupid mistake
