Just think about it. Both Curry and Randolph can score but don't offer much besides putting the ball through the hoop. Kind of like Boozer and Okur, really.
What they ideally need is someone to clean up their shortcomings on defense and put every offense on notice.
AK is that guy. He gives you 3 freaking blocks a game.
With AK, the Knicks immediately become a respectable defensive team and with their offensive fire power, that's quite scary.
Now, offense is a different story and not nearly as ideal but they could find a way to make it work. AK is a good off the ball player and he's not someone you could label as a ballhog or a ball needy player.
True, he's currently complaining about his role in offense but please consider this...the guy was getting only 6 shot attempts a game..only 6.
Quentin Richardson on another hand got 11.5 shot attempts a game.
Give that many attempts to AK and you won't hear him complaining while he"ll deliver you 15 points a game.
And the best thing is....the Knicks can make it happen.
They have plenty of pieces that may interest the Jazz.
Think about it.
David Lee
Quentin Richardson
Renaldo Balkman
Jamal Crawford
Mardy Collins
Nate Robinson
....
I'm sure the Jazz could work something out with the Knicks.
And it would be absolutely perfect..perfect.
This is why I love Isiah's strategy of acquiring talent. Talent. Period.
Someone will be available from time to time and when you have talent, you're always in the mix for everyone.
AK fits so well on the Knicks that it's almost scary. He's that corrector they need. He'd be their X factor.
We're talking here about a 3 bpg and 1.5 spg player. We're talking here about a very talented offensive team becoming respectable defensively.
I want to see the Knicks succeed. I want to see it badly. And AK would make it happen. Along with others of course.
It's just to good to be true.
Knowing Isiah, he is going to go after AK, but AK Curry, and Randolph sounds like a good front court, but all three want the ball and that could lead to chemistry issues...
don't really know...it would be make sense for both teams to pack david lee and q-rich for him, but salary numbers don't match...while i don't really see jamal crawford or nate robinson fitting into sloan's coaching philosophy. and jared jeffries or jerome james as fillers are crap.
i do agree about AK fitting great with knicks, just think it wouldn't be that easy to work it out.
I guess we need to also think of the possibility that AK could either walk away from his contract or negotiate a buyout, similar to what AI did. If so, then other teams could go after him without dealing with the complexities of a trade.
AK actually cried for not getting enough shots on Utah... He'll commit suicide playing with Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury, Zach Randolph, Eddy Curry, Nate Robinson, QRich, etc.
I just wonder would Isiah do it, he's pretty fond of some of the players he already got and if it's true that he wouldn't trade Lee for Artest then he probably wouldn't trade him for AK either.
True, the Knicks would trade plenty of talent away but with AK they could really be relevent in the east and make a lot of noise.

If Q Rich for example got 11.5 shots, AK should have no problem to get the same amount of shots there which is pretty much all he needs anyway..around 12 shots a game.
I think the Perfect team for AK 47 is none other than the Seattle Supersonics.
With Kirilenko, the Sonics immediately improve their defense and with their offensive fire power ( Durant and Wally), Sonics are groom to be the team to have a major improvement next season.
I'm sure the Sonics management could work something out with the Jazz.
My Trade Proposal
Robert Swift, Michael Gelabale and a future 2nd round pick for Andrei Kirilenko. I do not know if the salary would work out but it will be a pleasure to see AK 47 played for the Sonics.
Sonics get the defensive machine they all wanted while the Jazz have a bright future in acquiring 2 young studs in the person of Swift and Gelabale.

Nah, Nope, I don't think that is a good fit...They want Green and Durant to get alot of playing time and plus they have Wally Szczerbiak
I don't know about trading for another guy with ego problems and no work ethic but this could work.
collins would be a perfect backup for deron and sloan could develop him into a great hard nose PG.
Jeffires does what AK did without looking for his shots and richardson hits the open 3.
That Sonics trade doesn't work. You're trading like $4 million for 14 million. Try again.
And Jeffries does the same things as AK? Haha, keep the laughs coming.
Jeffries is a career 0.4 bpg and 0.7 spg player. Really, that was a pretty stupid statement, there's no need to say much about that one. Just flat out stupid.
