Default Cavs Rumors

Hudson to Cleveland for Damon Jones?

A rumor from WKNR's Kenny Rhoda...

Good deal?

I'd be looking at their contracts more than anything. Troy Hudson is able to light it up at times, but isn't very consistent either, just like Damon Jones, I don't think the Wolves would do that trade straight up.

Troy wouldn't be adding much more to the team than Damon Jones does.

Whats hudson good at? I don't see why the wolves would do this because they got James and Foye who will need to ball to be effective. And they really need a better bigman next to KG.

Hudson and Jones are basically the same player, PG's with horrible defense and mediocre playmaking skills who's only asset is shooting and who tend to chuck at times, no point in making this trade for either team.

Besides if we want a shooter PG with limited playmaking skills we can just have Gibson do that for a lot less money, and he can play D too.

New rumours are

Gooden for K.Thomas and our first rounder back.

Luke Jackson, Ira, Sasha, Graham and DJ are all on the block.

I'm not really a fan of any of these trades mentioned here. I want to keep Gooden, and like its already been said, DJ isn't someone we NEED to keep but there's really no point in picking up Hudson. He won't exactly make us BETTER, just different.

Gooden is as good as gone. Unless we move Big Z.

I think people really underestimate the value of Gooden.

He has been a very large part of our rebounding stats, and when he is "on" a real bear. I saw no one on the free market who has this ability with the occasional offensive game that came within the flow of the game.

Having said that, I think the difference between what the Cavs are offering and the Nene contract, is too large to overcome.

I expect a sign and trade. I don't expect one soon though.

As for DJ, I was pleased that he finally realized near the end of the season to penetrate a bit and put up an occasional shot within the three point line. Don yell also started playing an in and out game. That to me was most encouraging.

Luke Jackson hasn't had much of a chance with all his injuries, but he lacks the defensive side of his game. Sasha also is lacking in defensive skills.
I do like Graham. Newble...well lets say I have been disappointed.

I don't see much change in the roster other than a replacement or two and don't forget there will be three invitees to camp. Shannon Brown, Gibson, Hunter and maybe Sharrod Brown.
Shannon and Gibson are sure to make the roster, and I would't be surprised if a third makes it also. Someone will have to be dropped or traded.

I kinda expect both Z and Gooden to be with the team until at least December. After that... who knows.

I seem to be waiting like everyone else for something to happen.

Reggie and Lorenzo would let us trade Gooden for a PG.

Big Z / AV / Lorenzo
Reggie / Donyell
LeBron
Hughes / Brown
???? / Gibson

Anyone ideas who we could get at PG.

Could we get Brevin Knight. Maybe for a few Wing players.

Charlotte needs to add money to there Cap and more Depth. I think we would need a 3rd team though
