Re: Official San Antonio Spurs Thread
Unbeleivable to think that probably the best team in the league has like zero fans talking about it in here. Shame.
Revisiting last years finals, the Spurs showed in many ways how they were better than the Cavs by sweeping them.
This year, they are displaying the same again.. without LBJ the Cavs are a mess, with no genuine leader, handler or playmaker in the team to strike up an offense.
Without Duncan, the Spurs still have the quality to head the West.
In Tony Parker, they have an awesome player... is there anyone else in the league who can just make a lay-up out of nothing like TP3? Every game you watch he just gets to the hoop at ridiculous speed and gets the ball in the hole. It's like clockwork. With his jumpshot now in place and consistent, he is one of the better PGs in the league now surely.
And Manu Ginobli.. woah. Perfect 6th man, provides energy, hustle, defense, inside/outside threat.. great handling and passing abilities. This guy is extremely underrated and having a terrific year.
Surely this is another championship year for San Antonio, if they get to the finals it's theirs. Just the likes of Utah, Dallas, Phoenix to overcome in getting there.
Just a few thoughts on the team based on the thread title. If only this forum was more active... oh well.
