I love this team, they look really good, and they're only getting better with time. Every game these players get to know each other that much more. They learn how to play off of each other more and more, and feed from each other's game. Tinsley though, has surprised me the most. I can't say I wasn't hating on him, because I was. But this team has a chance to be pretty damn good as the season rolls along. They have a better record against the west right now than the east if that tells you anything.
They're so much fun to watch. I enjoy them more than any of the other teams I watch. What do you guys think of their season thus far?
Jamaal Tinsley has been excellent and is one of the best dribblers in the league, and he is one of the leading assistsmen in the league which impresses me a lot compared to recent times.
For the Pacers to attain success, they need J.O. to return to his former form, they and they need the big three of Granger, O'Neal, and Tinsley to be healthy the whole season. Tinsley can be a great point guard when he's healthy. Secondly, they need guys like Dunleavy, Murphy, Diogu, and Harrison to step up, which they've done rather nicely, because while Tinsley, Granger, and O'Neal are certainly talented, it's not quite good enough to cut it against the Bostons of the league. If the supporting cast can play consistent, then they might be able to make a run if they get to the playoffs. J.O.'s the X factor. If he can be healthy and effective down low, then Indiana will be able to compete in the playoffs. If not, it's back to the lottery. BTW, does anyone think Indy should get Anthony Johnson back from Atlanta as a backup? Pacers already got three PG's don't they? Diener's pretty good from what I hear from catz, but I'd just like to see Johnson in a Pacers uni come playoff time, just as insurance. Will they be able to function without Tins at PG?
yes, tinsley is one of the most underrated ball handlers in the league right now. i like when he gets a fast break by himself and does that hop/dribble behind his back thing.
harrison has been a surprise for me. he's been playing well.
as for the anthony johnson thing...i would love to see him back. i wish they never got rid of him in the beginning. he was one of my faves.
pacers have been a surprise
I mean i always knew this team had talent but i never knew why they didnt win games.
They have a point Guard
They have good outside shooters
They have players that can rebound
They have a good post up player
This year it seems all those pieces are finally working together!!
but they still aint good enough to beat Raptors!!!
